Specificity
This item specifically recognises ATG3 (Autophagy-related protein 3), otherwise known as APG3, a widely expressed E2-like enzyme, and member of the ATG3 family, which plays a key role in autophagosome formation, by catalyzing the conjugation of ATG8-like proteins to phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), in conjunction with ATG7.
ATG3 also plays a role in the regulation of mitochondrial homeostasis and cell death, through conjugation with ATG12 at Lys243.
This item has been shown to be suitable for use in immunoprecipitation using rat NRK cell lysates.
Form/Format
Purified
Purified IgG - liquid
Concentration
IgG concentration 1.0mg/ml (varies by lot)
Sequence Length
314
Applicable Applications for anti-ATG3 antibody
Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes
Western Blot: This item detects a band of approximately 36kDa in HeLa and mouse 3T3 cell lysates.
Immunoprecipitation: Minimum Dilution: 5; Maximum Dilution: 10ul
Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 2.0; Maximum Dilution: 4.0ug/ml
Perservative Stabilisers
0.09% Sodium Azide (NaN3)
Immunogen
KLH conjugated synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 17-32 of human ATG3. The corresponding sequence is identical in rat and mouse.
Buffer Solution
Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to human ATG3 was raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared by affinity chromatography.
Target Species
Human
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.

Product Notes

The ATG3 atg3 (Catalog #AAA224303) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RABBIT ANTI ATG3 reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ATG3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: This item detects a band of approximately 36kDa in HeLa and mouse 3T3 cell lysates. Immunoprecipitation: Minimum Dilution: 5; Maximum Dilution: 10ul Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 2.0; Maximum Dilution: 4.0ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ATG3 atg3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATG3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
