NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a transcription factor that was originally identified as a widely expressed mammalian DNA binding protein that could bind a tax-responsive enhancer element in the LTR of HTLV-1. The encoded protein was also isolated and characterized as the cAMP-response element binding protein 2 (CREB-2). The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a family of DNA-binding proteins that includes the AP-1 family of transcription factors, cAMP-response element binding proteins (CREBs) and CREB-like proteins. These transcription factors share a leucine zipper region that is involved in protein-protein interactions, located C-terminal to a stretch of basic amino acids that functions as a DNA binding domain. Two alternative transcripts encoding the same protein have been described. Two pseudogenes are located on the X chromosome at q28 in a region containing a large inverted duplication. Uniprot Description
ATF-4: a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family. Isolated and characterized as the cAMP-response element binding protein 2 (CREB-2). Involved in cisplatin resistance. Other members of the family include AP-1 transcription factors, cAMP-response element binding proteins (CREBs) and CREB-like proteins. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The ATF4 atf4 (Catalog #AAA6461279) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ATF4 (S245) (Activating Transcription Factor 4 (Tax-responsive Enhancer Element B67), Activating Transcription Factor 4 (Tax-responsive Enhancer Element B67), Isoform CRA_a,, ATF4 Protein, hCG_41721) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ATF4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:50-1:100 ELISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ATF4 atf4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATF4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
