Biological Significance
ApoA II is the second most abundant protein of the high density lipoprotein particles. The protein is found in plasma as a monomer, homodimer, or heterodimer with apolipoprotein D. Defects in this gene may result in apolipoprotein A-II deficiency or hypercholesterolemia.
Immunogen
ApoA II antibody was raised in goat using Human Apolipoprotein AII as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes apolipoprotein (apo-) A-II, which is the second most abundant protein of the high density lipoprotein particles. The protein is found in plasma as a monomer, homodimer, or heterodimer with apolipoprotein D. Defects in this gene may result in apolipoprotein A-II deficiency or hypercholesterolemia. Product Notes

The ApoA-II apoa2 (Catalog #AAA534395) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's ApoA-II can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, User optimized. The optimal working dilution should be determined by the end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ApoA-II apoa2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ApoA-II, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
