Related Product Information for anti-AMOT antibody
Description: This gene belongs to the motin family of angiostatin binding proteins characterized by conserved coiled-coil domains and C-terminal PDZ binding motifs. The encoded protein is expressed predominantly in endothelial cells of capillaries as well as larger vessels of the placenta where it may mediate the inhibitory effect of angiostatin on tube formation and the migration of endothelial cells toward growth factors during the formation of new blood vessels. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Background: Plays a central role in tight junction maintenance via the complex formed with ARHGAP17, which acts by regulating the uptake of polarity proteins at tight junctions. Appears to regulate endothelial cell migration and tube formation. May also play a role in the assembly of endothelial cell-cell junctions.

Uniprot Description

AMOT: Plays a central role in tight junction maintenance via the complex formed with ARHGAP17, which acts by regulating the uptake of polarity proteins at tight junctions. Appears to regulate endothelial cell migration and tube formation. May also play a role in the assembly of endothelial cell-cell junctions. Belongs to the angiomotin family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The AMOT amot (Catalog #AAA9217111) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AMOT Antibody (Center S305) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AMOT can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB:~~1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AMOT amot for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AMOT, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
