Human
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for frequent use. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for 12 months.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a metal-binding membrane glycoprotein that oxidatively deaminates putrescine, histamine, and related compounds. The encoded protein is inhibited by amiloride, a diuretic that acts by closing epithelial sodium ion channels. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2013]

Uniprot Description

ABP1: Catalyzes the degradation of compounds such as putrescine, histamine, spermine, and spermidine, substances involved in allergic and immune responses, cell proliferation, tissue differentiation, tumor formation, and possibly apoptosis. Placental DAO is thought to play a role in the regulation of the female reproductive function. Belongs to the copper/topaquinone oxidase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The ABP1 aoc1 (Catalog #AAA2107605) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PE-Linked Polyclonal Antibody to Amiloride Binding Protein 1 (ABP1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Amiloride Binding Protein 1 (ABP1) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ABP1 aoc1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Amiloride Binding Protein 1 (ABP1), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
