Related Product Information for anti-ALDH1L1 antibody
10-formyltetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the ALDH1L1 gene. The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the conversion of 10-formyltetrahydrofolate, NADP, and water to tetrahydrofolate, NADPH, and carbon dioxide. The encoded protein belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family and is responsible for formate oxidation in vivo. Deficiencies in this gene can result in an accumulation of formate and subsequent methanol poisoning.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the conversion of 10-formyltetrahydrofolate, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP+), and water to tetrahydrofolate, NADPH, and carbon dioxide. The encoded protein belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family. Loss of function or expression of this gene is associated with decreased apoptosis, increased cell motility, and cancer progression. There is an antisense transcript that overlaps on the opposite strand with this gene locus. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2012]

The ALDH1L1 aldh1l1 (Catalog #AAA1753667) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-ALDH1L1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ALDH1L1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS/FCM), Direct ELISA (EIA). WB: 0.1-0.25ug/ml|Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey| IHC-P: 2-5ug/ml|Human, Mouse, Rat| ICC/IF: 5ug/ml|Human| FC/FACS/FCM: 1-3ug/1x106 cells|Human| Direct ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/ml|Human|. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ALDH1L1 aldh1l1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ALDH1L1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
