Related Product Information for anti-AHCYL1 antibody
AHCYL1 (S-adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase-like 1), also known as DCAL, IRBIT or PRO0233, is an endoplasmic reticulum (ER) protein that is involved in amino acid biosynthesis. Expressed in dentritic blood cells (DCs), AHCYL1 functions to catalyze the H(2)O-dependent conversion of S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine to L-homocysteine and adenosine, a reaction that uses NAD as a cofactor. Additionally, AHCYL1 contains a PDZ-binding domain and a PEST region through which it can interact with IP3R-I (inositol 1, 4, 5-trisphosphate (IP3) receptor-I), a protein involved in various signaling pathways. This interaction lowers the affinity of IP3R-1 for its substrate, IP3, thereby decreasing the rate of IP3-IP3R-I binding. AHCYL1 shares 100% homology with its mouse counterpart, indicating a highly conserved function between species. Two isoforms of AHCYL1 are expressed due to alternative splicing events.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene interacts with inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor, type 1 and may be involved in the conversion of S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine to L-homocysteine and adenosine. Several transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]

Product Notes

The AHCYL1 ahcyl1 (Catalog #AAA3009414) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AHCYL1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AHCYL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AHCYL1 ahcyl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AHCYL1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
