NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
belongs to the P-type ATPase superfamily of cation-transporting ATPases, pumps protons out of the cell, generating a proton gradient that drives the active transport of nutrients by proton symport. has two autoinhibitory regions within the C-terminal dom
Uniprot Description
Function: The plasma membrane H+ ATPase of plants and fungi generates a proton gradient that drives the active transport of nutrients by H+-symport. The resulting external acidification and/or internal alkinization may mediate growth responses.
Catalytic activity: ATP + H2O + H+(In) = ADP + phosphate + H+(Out).
Subunit structure: Binds to 14-3-3 proteins. The binding is induced by phosphorylation of Thr-947. Binding to 14-3-3 proteins activates the H+-ATPase.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein
Probable.
Tissue specificity: Higher levels in roots than in shoots.
Post-translational modification: Phosphorylation of Thr-947 induces the binding to 14-3-3 proteins, but phosphorylation of Ser-931 interfers with this binding no matter whether Thr-947 is phosphrylated or not. Phosphorylation level varies significantly during early response to general elicitors.
Miscellaneous: The catalytic mechanism involves at least four different enzyme conformational states named E1, E1P, E2P, and E2, with the E1P-E2P transition accompanying the transfer of ion across the membrane. E1P and E2P are phosphorylated intermediates.
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the cation transport ATPase (P-type) (TC 3.A.3) family. Type IIIA subfamily. [View classification]

Product Notes
The HA2 aha2 (Catalog #AAA6007789) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Aha2 (ATPase Hydrogen-exporting ATPase 2) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Aha2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HA2 aha2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Aha2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
