Related Product Information for anti-AGTRAP antibody
This gene encodes a transmembrane protein localized to the
plasma membrane and perinuclear vesicular structures. The gene
product interacts with the angiotensin II type I receptor and
negatively regulates angiotensin II signaling. Alternative splicing
of this gene generates multiple transcript variants encoding
different isoforms.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a transmembrane protein localized to the plasma membrane and perinuclear vesicular structures. The gene product interacts with the angiotensin II type I receptor and negatively regulates angiotensin II signaling. Alternative splicing of this gene generates multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

AGTRAP: Appears to be a negative regulator of type-1 angiotensin II receptor-mediated signaling by regulating receptor internalisation as well as mechanism of receptor desensitization such as phosphorylation. Induces also a decrease in cell proliferation and angiotensin II-stimulated transcriptional activity. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral; Endoplasmic reticulum

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p36.22

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; Golgi membrane; endoplasmic reticulum membrane; cytoplasmic vesicle membrane; intracellular membrane-bound organelle; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; integral to membrane; cell cortex

Molecular Function: protein binding; angiotensin type II receptor activity

Biological Process: regulation of blood pressure; response to hypoxia

Product Notes

The AGTRAP agtrap (Catalog #AAA9208207) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 133-159. The AGTRAP Antibody (C-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AGTRAP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AGTRAP agtrap for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AGTRAP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
