Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse ADH4 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-ADH4 antibody
ADH4, CT (ADH4, Alcohol dehydrogenase 4, Alcohol dehydrogenase class II pi chain) (Biotin)
ELISA: 1:1,000
IHC: 1:50-100
WB: 1:100-500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(ADH4 Antibody (C-term) western blot analysis in mouse heart tissue lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the ADH4 antibody detected the ADH4 protein (arrow).)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of ADH4 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal ADH4 Antibody (C-term). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the ADH4 gene.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(ADH4 antibody(C-term) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human colon carcinoma followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the ADH4 antibody(C-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(ADH4 Antibody (C-term) flow cytometric analysis of 293 cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes class II alcohol dehydrogenase 4 pi subunit, which is a member of the alcohol dehydrogenase family. Members of this enzyme family metabolize a wide variety of substrates, including ethanol, retinol, other aliphatic alcohols, hydroxysteroids, and lipid peroxidation products. Class II alcohol dehydrogenase is a homodimer composed of 2 pi subunits. It exhibits a high activity for oxidation of long-chain aliphatic alcohols and aromatic alcohols and is less sensitive to pyrazole. This gene is localized to chromosome 4 in the cluster of alcohol dehydrogenase genes. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The ADH4 adh4 (Catalog #AAA6271752) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ADH4, CT (ADH4, Alcohol dehydrogenase 4, Alcohol dehydrogenase class II pi chain) (Biotin) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ADH4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). FC/FACS: 1:10-50 ELISA: 1:1,000 IHC: 1:50-100 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ADH4 adh4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ADH4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
