NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to a family of helicases that are involved in the ATP-dependent unwinding of nucleic acid duplexes. The encoded protein is the largest subunit of the activating signal cointegrator 1 complex that is involved in DNA repair and resistance to alkylation damage. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2013]
Uniprot Description
ASCC3: 3'-5' DNA helicase involved in repair of alkylated DNA. Promotes DNA unwinding to generate single-stranded substrate needed for ALKHB3, enabling ALKHB3 to process alkylated N3- methylcytosine (3mC) within double-stranded regions. Enhances NF- kappa-B, SRF and AP1 transactivation. Belongs to the helicase family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: EC 3.6.4.12; Helicase; Transcription, coactivator/corepressor

Product Notes
The ASCC3 ascc3 (Catalog #
AAA1497017) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti-human Activating signal cointegrator 1 complex subunit 3 polyclonal Antibody(ASCC3) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Activating signal cointegrator 1 complex subunit 3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Recommended dilution: IHC:1:20-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ASCC3 ascc3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"Activating signal cointegrator 1 complex subunit 3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
