Related Product Information for anti-ACR antibody
ACR is the major proteinase present in the acrosome of mature spermatozoa. It is a typical serine proteinase with trypsin-like specificity. It is stored in the acrosome in its precursor form, proacrosin. The active enzyme functions in the lysis of the zona pellucida, thus facilitating penetration of the sperm through the innermost glycoprotein layers of the ovum. The mRNA for proacrosin is synthesized only in the postmeiotic stages of spermatogenesis. In humans proacrosin first appears in the haploid spermatids.

Uniprot Description

ACR: Acrosin is the major protease of mammalian spermatozoa. It is a serine protease of trypsin-like cleavage specificity, it is synthesized in a zymogen form, proacrosin and stored in the acrosome. Belongs to the peptidase S1 family.

Product Notes

The ACR acr (Catalog #AAA6271046) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ACR, CT (ACR, ACRS, Acrosin, Acrosin light chain, Acrosin heavy chain) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ACR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-100 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:50-100 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ACR acr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ACR, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
