ELISA: 1:1,000
IHC: 1:50-100
WB: 1:100-500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(ACF Antibody (C-term) western blot analysis in A375 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the ACF antibody detected the ACF protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(ACF Antibody (C-term) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human hepatocarcinoma followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the ACF Antibody (C-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(ACF Antibody (C-term) flow cytometric analysis of A375 cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Mammalian apolipoprotein B mRNA undergoes site-specific C to U deamination, which is mediated by a multi-component enzyme complex containing a minimal core composed of APOBEC-1 and a complementation factor encoded by this gene. The gene product has three non-identical RNA recognition motifs and belongs to the hnRNP R family of RNA-binding proteins. It has been proposed that this complementation factor functions as an RNA-binding subunit and docks APOBEC-1 to deaminate the upstream cytidine. Studies suggest that the protein may also be involved in other RNA editing or RNA processing events. Several transcript variants encoding a few different isoforms have been found for this gene. Uniprot Description
ACF: Essential component of the apolipoprotein B mRNA editing enzyme complex which is responsible for the postranscriptional editing of a CAA codon for Gln to a UAA codon for stop in APOB mRNA. Binds to APOB mRNA and is probably responsible for docking the catalytic subunit, APOBEC1, to the mRNA to allow it to deaminate its target cytosine. The complex also protects the edited APOB mRNA from nonsense-mediated decay. 6 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The ACF a1cf (Catalog #AAA6270927) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ACF, CT (A1CF, ACF, ASP, APOBEC1 complementation factor, APOBEC1-stimulating protein) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ACF can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). FC/FACS: 1:10-50 ELISA: 1:1,000 IHC: 1:50-100 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ACF a1cf for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ACF, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
