Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase CYP20-2, chloroplastic (CYP20-2) Recombinant Protein | CYP20-2 recombinant protein
Recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase CYP20-2, chloroplastic (CYP20-2)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Encodes a lumenal cyclophilin with peptidyl-prolyl isomerase activity that is associated with the NAD(P)H dehydrogenase complex in stromal regions of the thylakoid membrane. It is likely to be important for the accumulation of the hydrophobic domain of the NAD(P)H dehydrogenase complex. This complex is associated with PSI and is responsible for the reduction of plastoquinone.
Uniprot Description
NDH shuttles electrons from NAD(P)H:plastoquinone, via FMN and iron-sulfur (Fe-S) centers, to quinones in the photosynthetic chain and possibly in a chloroplast respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme in this species is believed to be plastoquinone. Couples the redox reaction to proton translocation, and thus conserves the redox energy in a proton gradient (Probable). PPIases accelerate the folding of proteins. It catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. Responsible, with FKBP13, for all PPIase activity observed in thylakoid lumen. Modulates the conformation of BZR1, which regulates flowering (PubMed:16765949, PubMed:23897924).
