Related Product Information for PKCq elisa kit
Principle of the assay: PKCq ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-PKCq antibody and an PKCq-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with PKCq-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the PKCq concentration since PKCq from samples and PKCq-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-PKCq antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by PKCq from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind PKCq-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The PKCq concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

Protein kinase C (PKC) is a family of serine- and threonine-specific protein kinases that can be activated by calcium and the second messenger diacylglycerol. PKC family members phosphorylate a wide variety of protein targets and are known to be involved in diverse cellular signaling pathways. PKC family members also serve as major receptors for phorbol esters, a class of tumor promoters. Each member of the PKC family has a specific expression profile and is believed to play a distinct role. The protein encoded by this gene is one of the PKC family members. It is a calcium-independent and phospholipid-dependent protein kinase. This kinase is important for T-cell activation. It is required for the activation of the transcription factors NF-kappaB and AP-1, and may link the T cell receptor (TCR) signaling complex to the activation of the transcription factors. Uniprot Description

PKCT: an AGC kinase of the PKC family. A novel PKC: Ca2+ independent but still regulated by PS, DAG and phorbol esters. Contains 2 zinc-dependent phorbol-ester and DAG binding domains. Expressed in skeletal muscle and hematopoietic cells. May play a role in T cell receptor signaling and insulin resistance. Required for TCR-induced NF-kappaB activation in mature T lymphocytes.

Product Notes

The Monkey PKCq prkcq (Catalog #AAA745630) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA745630 ELISA Kit recognizes Monkey PKCq. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Protein Kinase C Theta, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
