Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone (TRH) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone (TRH) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate.
CV(%) = SD/meanX100
Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-Assay: CV<12%
Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for TRH elisa kit
This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone (TRH) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone (TRH) and unlabeled Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone (TRH) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone (TRH). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone (TRH) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone (TRH) in the sample.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the thyrotropin-releasing hormone family. Cleavage of the encoded proprotein releases mature thyrotropin-releasing hormone, which is a tripeptide hypothalamic regulatory hormone. The human proprotein contains six thyrotropin-releasing hormone tripeptides. Thyrotropin-releasing hormone is involved in the regulation and release of thyroid-stimulating hormone, as well as prolactin. Deficiency of this hormone has been associated with hypothalamic hypothyroidism. [provided by RefSeq, May 2013]

Uniprot Description

TRH: Functions as a regulator of the biosynthesis of TSH in the anterior pituitary gland and as a neurotransmitter/ neuromodulator in the central and peripheral nervous systems. May promote hair shaft elongation, prolonge the hair cycle growth phase (anagen) and antagonized its termination by TGFB2. May also increase proliferation and inhibited apoptosis of hair matrix keratinocytes. Belongs to the TRH family.

Product Notes

The Pig TRH trh (Catalog #AAA2122191) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2122191 ELISA Kit recognizes Pig TRH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone (TRH), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
