PIK4CB Blocking Peptide | PI4KB blocking peptide
PIK4CB Antibody (Center) Blocking Peptide
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
PIK4CB: a member of the PI3/PI4 kinase family. Phosphorylates phosphatidylinositol (PI) in the first committed step in the production of the second messenger inositol- 1,4,5,-trisphosphate. Found in the outer membrane of mitochondria and membranes of the rough endoplasmic reticulum. Recruited to the Golgi complex by the small GTPase ARF to stimulate the synthesis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-biphosphate (PIP2) on the Golgi complex. May regulate Golgi disintegration/reorganization during mitosis, possibly via its phosphorylation. Three splice-variant isoforms have been described.
Protein type: Carbohydrate Metabolism - inositol phosphate; EC 2.7.1.67; Kinase, lipid; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q21
Cellular Component: cytoplasm; cytosol; endosome; Golgi membrane
Molecular Function: 1-phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase activity; protein binding

Product Notes
The PI4KB pi4kb (Catalog #AAA9226451) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PIK4CB, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
