Related Product Information for PIGF recombinant protein
PIGF, as know as placenta growth factor, is a member of the VEGF sub-family that a key molecule in angiogenesis and vasculogenesis, in particular during embryogenesis. It is ultimately associated with angiogenesis. Specifically, it plays a role in trophoblast growth and differentiation. Also it is a potential biomarker for preeclampsia, a condition in which blood vessels in the placenta are too narrow, resulting in high blood pressure. Under normal physiologic conditions, it is also expressed at a low level in other organs including the heart, lung, thyroid, and skeletal muscle. Recombinant human PIGF, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in HEK293 and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Uniprot Description

PGF: Growth factor active in angiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration. It binds to the receptor FLT1/VEGFR-1. Isoform PlGF-2 binds NRP1/neuropilin-1 and NRP2/neuropilin-2 in a heparin-dependent manner. Also promotes cell tumor growth. Belongs to the PDGF/VEGF growth factor family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The PIGF pgf (Catalog #AAA201338) is a Recombinant Protein produced from HEK293 and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 21-170aa. AAA Biotech's PIGF can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PIGF pgf for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: AVPP QQ WALSAGNGSS EVEVVPFQEV WGRSYCRALE RLVDVVSEYP SEVEHMFSPS CVSLLRCTGC CGDENLHCVP VETANVTMQL LKIRSGDRPS YVELTFSQHV RCECRPLREK MKPERRRPKG RGKRRREKQR PTDCHLCGDA VPRR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PIGF, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
