Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase [GTP], mitochondrial (PCK2) Recombinant Protein | PCK2 recombinant protein
Recombinant Human Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase [GTP], mitochondrial (PCK2)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of oxaloacetate to phosphoenolpyruvate in the presence of guanosine triphosphate (GTP). A cytosolic form of this protein is encoded by a different gene and is the key enzyme of gluconeogenesis in the liver. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2014]
Uniprot Description
Catalyzes the conversion of oxaloacetate (OAA) to phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP), the rate-limiting step in the metabolic pathway that produces glucose from lactate and other precursors derived from the citric acid cycle.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase [GTP], mitochondrial (PCK2), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
