Preparation and Storage
Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles
Store at 2-8ºC for one month.
Aliquot and store at -80ºC for 12 months.

Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

This locus encodes a subunit of ATP-dependent chromatin-remodeling complexes. The encoded protein has been identified as in integral component of complexes necessary for ligand-dependent transcriptional activation by nuclear hormone receptors. Mutations at this locus have been associated with primary clear cell renal cell carcinoma. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]

Uniprot Description

polybromo 1: Involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). Acts as a negative regulator of cell proliferation. Defects in PBRM1 are a cause of renal cell carcinoma (RCC). It is a heterogeneous group of sporadic or hereditary carcinoma derived from cells of the proximal renal tubular epithelium. It is subclassified into clear cell renal carcinoma (non-papillary carcinoma), papillary renal cell carcinoma, chromophobe renal cell carcinoma, collecting duct carcinoma with medullary carcinoma of the kidney, and unclassified renal cell carcinoma. 9 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Tumor suppressor; DNA-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p21

Cellular Component: kinetochore; nuclear chromosome

Molecular Function: protein binding; DNA binding; chromatin binding

Biological Process: chromatin remodeling; negative regulation of cell proliferation; mitosis; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; transcription, DNA-dependent; heart development; placenta development

Product Notes

The PBRM1 pbrm1 (Catalog #AAA2011038) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Recombinant Polybromo 1 (PBRM1) reacts with Homo sapiens (Human) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Polybromo 1 (PBRM1) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Positive Control, Immunogen, SDS-PAGE, WB. (May be suitable for use in other assays to be determined by the end user.). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PBRM1 pbrm1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Polybromo 1 (PBRM1), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
