Related Product Information for p41 recombinant protein
Description: The E Coli derived recombinant protein contains the p41 immunodominant regions, 158-296 amino acids. Borrelia p41 is fused to 6xHis tag at N-terminal and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction: Borrelia belongs to a genus of bacteria of the spirochete phylum. Borrelia causes borreliosis, which is a zoonotic, vector-borne disease transmitted mainly by ticks and some by lice, depending on the species. Of the 36 known species of Borrelia, 12 are distinguished to cause Lyme disease or borreliosis and are transmitted by ticks. The main Borrelia species causing Lyme disease are Borrelia burgdorferi, Borrelia afzelii, and Borrelia garinii. The Borrelia genus members have a linear chromosome which is about 900 kbp in length as well as an excess of both linear and circular plasmids in the 5-220 kbp size range. The plasmids are atypical, as compared to most bacterial plasmids, since they contain many paralogous sequences, a large number of pseudogenes and, in some cases, essential genes. Moreover, a number of the plasmids have features suggesting that they are prophages.

Product Notes

The p41 p41 (Catalog #AAA143464) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Escherichia Coli. and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's p41 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Used as an antigen in ELISA and Western Blots. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the p41 p41 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "p41, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
