DNA-directed RNA polymerase II subunit RPB3-A (RPB36A) Recombinant Protein | RPB36A recombinant protein
Recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana DNA-directed RNA polymerase II subunit RPB3-A (RPB36A)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Non-catalytic subunit of nuclear DNA-dependent RNA polymerases II, IV and V; homologous to budding yeast RPB3 and the E. coli RNA polymerase alpha subunit. A closely related paralog, encoded by At2g15400, can substitute for At2g15430 in the context of Pol V.
Uniprot Description
DNA-dependent RNA polymerase catalyzes the transcription of DNA into RNA using the four ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates. Component of RNA polymerase II which synthesizes mRNA precursors and many functional non-coding RNAs. Pol II is the central component of the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. It is composed of mobile elements that move relative to each other. NRPB3 is part of the core element with the central large cleft and the clamp element that moves to open and close the cleft. Component of RNA polymerases IV and V which mediate short-interfering RNAs (siRNA) accumulation and subsequent RNA-directed DNA methylation-dependent (RdDM) transcriptional gene silencing (TGS) of endogenous repeated sequences, including transposable elements.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DNA-directed RNA polymerase II subunit RPB3-A (RPB36A), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
