Related Product Information for Ndufaf3 recombinant protein
This gene encodes a mitochondrial complex I assembly protein that interacts with complex I subunits. Mutations in this gene cause mitochondrial complex I deficiency, a fatal neonatal disorder of the oxidative phosphorylation system. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein that is required for assembly of mitochondrial NADH: ubiquinone oxidoreductase complex I, a multiprotein enzyme complex that is part of the oxidative phosphorylation pathway. In humans, mutations in this gene are associated with fatal neonatal mitochondrial disease and lactic acidosis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2015]

Uniprot Description

Essential factor for the assembly of mitochondrial NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase complex (complex I).
