Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-Human MYOG antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Human MYOG antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRPStreptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human MYOG amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of Human MYOG can be calculated.

NCBI Description

Myogenin is a muscle-specific transcription factor that can induce myogenesis in a variety of cell types in tissue culture. It is a member of a large family of proteins related by sequence homology, the helix-loop-helix (HLH) proteins. It is essential for the development of functional skeletal muscle. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Human MYOG myog (Catalog #AAA765394) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA765394 ELISA Kit recognizes Human MYOG. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Myogenin, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
