The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to V-Ets Erythroblastosis Virus E26 Oncogene Homolog 1 (ETS1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to V-Ets Erythroblastosis Virus E26 Oncogene Homolog 1 (ETS1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain V-Ets Erythroblastosis Virus E26 Oncogene Homolog 1 (ETS1), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. This gene encodes a member of the ETS family of transcription factors, which are defined by the presence of a conserved ETS DNA-binding domain that recognizes the core consensus DNA sequence GGAA/T in target genes. These proteins function either as transcriptional activators or repressors of numerous genes, and are involved in stem cell development, cell senescence and death, and tumorigenesis.
