Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Mouse Steroid 5-Alpha-Reductase 1 (also known as SRD5A1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.
Principles of the Assay: This kit is a Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). SRD5A1 is added to the wells pre-coated with SRD5A1 monoclonal antibody. After cubation a biotin-conjugated anti-Mouse SRD5A1 antibody is added and binds to Mouse SRD5A1. After incubation unbound biotin-conjugated anti-Mouse SRD5A1 antibody is washed away during a washing step. Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the biotin-conjugated anti-Mouse SRD5A1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse SRD5A1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
