Mouse Phosphoglycerate Kinase 1 (PGK1) ELISA Kit | PGK1 elisa kit
Mouse Phosphoglycerate Kinase 1 (PGK1) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: The Phosphoglycerate Kinase 1 is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate. The encoded protein may also act as a cofactor for polymerase alpha. This gene lies on the X-chromosome, while a related pseudogene also has been found on the X-chromosome and another on chromosome 19.PGK1 is distinguished from testicular PGK2, which maps to chromosome 6p21. The deduced protein contains 417 amino acid residues. Southern blot analysis of human genomic DNAs showed a complex pattern of hybridizing fragments, 2 of which were non-X in origin. The results were interpreted as reflecting the existence of a small family of dispersed PGK or PGK-like genes.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate. Additionally, this protein is secreted by tumor cells where it participates in angiogenesis by functioning to reduce disulfide bonds in the serine protease, plasmin, which consequently leads to the release of the tumor blood vessel inhibitor angiostatin. The encoded protein has been identified as a moonlighting protein based on its ability to perform mechanistically distinct functions. Many pseudogenes of this gene are found throughout the mouse genome. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2014]

Product Notes
The Mouse PGK1 pgk1 (Catalog #AAA9717370) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9717370 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse PGK1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phosphoglycerate Kinase 1 (PGK1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
