Related Product Information for MAP1LC3A elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Mouse Microtubule-associated Protein 1 Light Chain 3 Alpha (also known as MAP1LC3A) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse MAP1LC3A antibody. MAP1LC3A present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse MAP1LC3A Antibody is added and binds to MAP1LC3A in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated MAP1LC3A antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse MAP1LC3A. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

MAP1A and MAP1B are microtubule-associated proteins which mediate the physical interactions between microtubules and components of the cytoskeleton. MAP1A and MAP1B each consist of a heavy chain subunit and multiple light chain subunits. The protein encoded by this gene is one of the light chain subunits and can associate with either MAP1A or MAP1B. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. The expression of variant 1 is suppressed in many tumor cell lines, suggesting that may be involved in carcinogenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]

Uniprot Description

Ubiquitin-like modifier involved in formation of autophagosomal vacuoles (autophagosomes) (PubMed:20713600, PubMed:24290141). Whereas LC3s are involved in elongation of the phagophore membrane, the GABARAP/GATE-16 subfamily is essential for a later stage in autophagosome maturation (PubMed:20713600).

Product Notes

The Mouse MAP1LC3A map1lc3a (Catalog #AAA1601176) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1601176 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse MAP1LC3A. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 alpha (MAP1LC3A), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
