Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for MMP7 elisa kit
Description: This Mouse Matrix metallopeptidase 7 (MMP7) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MMP7 in samples. An antibody specific for MMP7 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any MMP7 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MMP7 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MMP7 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: MMP7, also known as Matrilysin, is the smallest member of the MMP-family, it is a zinc-dependent metalloproteinase and is overexpressed in colon cancer and many other human cancers. MMP7 is a secreted matrix metalloproteinase, which contributes to angiogenesis by breaking down basement membranes. Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMPs) belong to a family of secreted or membrane-associated zinc endopeptidases capable of digesting extracellular matrix components.MMP7 is responsible for hydrolyzing proteoglycans and ECM glycoproteins. It is expressed in normal cells, specifically glandular epithelial cells. MMP7, is thought to play an important role in the early steps of tumor progression. Expression of MMP2, MMP7 and MMP11 is greater in pancreatic carcinoma than in normal pancreas.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the matrix metalloproteinase family of extracellular matrix-degrading enzymes that are involved in tissue remodeling, wound repair, progression of atherosclerosis and tumor invasion. The encoded preproprotein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a mature, zinc-dependent endopeptidase enzyme. Mice lacking the encoded protein are deficient in functional cryptdins. This gene is located in a cluster of other matrix metalloproteinase genes on chromosome 9. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]

Product Notes

The Mouse MMP7 mmp7 (Catalog #AAA9718160) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9718160 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse MMP7. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Matrix Metallopeptidase 7 (MMP7), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
