Related Product Information for MDC elisa kit
Intended Uses: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of MDC in mouse serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to MDC. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to MDC. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain MDC, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of MDC in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of a disintegrin and metalloprotease (ADAM) family of endoproteases that play important roles in various biological processes including cell signaling, adhesion and migration. The encoded preproprotein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a mature, functional protein. The protein encoded by this gene is believed to lack metalloproteinase activity due to the lack of a critical catalytic motif. Mice lacking the encoded protein exhibit defects in spatial learning, motor coordination and altered perception of pain. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms that may undergo similar processing. [provided by RefSeq, May 2016]

Uniprot Description

Probable ligand for integrin in the brain. This is a non catalytic metalloprotease-like protein.

Product Notes

The Mouse MDC adam11 (Catalog #AAA454691) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA454691 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse MDC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Macrophage Derived Chemokine (MDC), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
