Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for KLK1 elisa kit
This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to Kallikrein 1 (KLK1) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Kallikrein 1 (KLK1) and unlabeled Kallikrein 1 (KLK1) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Kallikrein 1 (KLK1). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Kallikrein 1 (KLK1) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Kallikrein 1 (KLK1) in the sample.

NCBI Description

Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. This gene is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. This protein is functionally conserved in its capacity to release the vasoactive peptide, Lys-bradykinin, from low molecular weight kininogen. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

KLK1: Glandular kallikreins cleave Met-Lys and Arg-Ser bonds in kininogen to release Lys-bradykinin. Belongs to the peptidase S1 family. Kallikrein subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Mouse KLK1 klk1 (Catalog #AAA2025055) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2025055 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse KLK1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Kallikrein 1 (KLK1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
