Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for IQGAP2 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to IQ Motif Containing GTPase Activating Protein 2 (IQGAP2). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to IQ Motif Containing GTPase Activating Protein 2 (IQGAP2). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain IQ Motif Containing GTPase Activating Protein 2 (IQGAP2), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of IQ Motif Containing GTPase Activating Protein 2 (IQGAP2) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the IQGAP family. The protein contains three IQ domains, one calponin homology domain, one Ras-GAP domain and one WW domain. It interacts with components of the cytoskeleton, with cell adhesion molecules, and with several signaling molecules to regulate cell morphology and motility. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

IQGAP2: Binds to activated CDC42 and RAC1 but does not seem to stimulate their GTPase activity. Associates with calmodulin. Isoform 2 expression is enhanced in testis. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: G protein regulator, misc.; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q13.3

Cellular Component: filamentous actin; microtubule; cell surface; microvillus; lamellipodium; cytoplasm; filopodium; actin cytoskeleton

Molecular Function: calmodulin binding; actin filament binding; phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-triphosphate binding; Rho GTPase binding; Rac GTPase binding; actin binding; GTPase inhibitor activity

Biological Process: small GTPase mediated signal transduction; negative regulation of catalytic activity; signal transduction

Product Notes

The Mouse IQGAP2 iqgap2 (Catalog #AAA2020889) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2020889 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse IQGAP2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IQ Motif Containing GTPase Activating Protein 2 (IQGAP2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
