Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for PGC elisa kit
Description: This Mouse Gastricsin (PGC) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate PGC in samples. An antibody specific for PGC has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any PGC present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for PGC is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of PGC bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Pepsinogen, the inactive precursor of pepsin belongs to the group of aspartic proteinases, is synthesized in the chief cells of gastric glands. Seven electrophoretically separable pepsinogens exist in human gastric mucosa. One group, called PGA or group I pepsinogen, is characterized by electrophoretically faster migration and localization in the fundus and body of the stomach; the second group, termed pepsinogen C, is localized in the whole stomach. PGCs are found in prostate and in seminal fluid whereas PGAs are not. the absence of detectable immunologic crossreactivity between the pepsinogens A and C results from divergent evolution of sequences located on the surface of the zymogens in contrast to the strongly conserved active site regions located within the binding cleft of the enzymes, inaccessible for antigenic recognition.

Product Notes

The Mouse PGC pgc (Catalog #AAA9717375) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9717375 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse PGC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Gastricsin (PGC), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
