LIPG; EL; EDL; PRO719
Reactivity
Mouse
Synonyms
EL; Mouse EL (Endothelial lipase) ELISA Kit; EL elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Mouse
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Mouse EL. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Mouse EL and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross- reactivity detection between Mouse EL and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.

Related Product Information for EL elisa kit
Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of EL in Mouse serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse EL. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Mouse EL and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Mouse EL, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Mouse EL. You can calculate the concentration of Mouse EL in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene has substantial phospholipase activity and may be involved in lipoprotein metabolism and vascular biology. This protein is designated a member of the TG lipase family by its sequence and characteristic lid region which provides substrate specificity for enzymes of the TG lipase family. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

LIPG: Has phospholipase and triglyceride lipase activities. Hydrolyzes high density lipoproteins (HDL) more efficiently than other lipoproteins. Binds heparin. Belongs to the AB hydrolase superfamily. Lipase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Phospholipase; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide; EC 3.1.1.3; Lipid Metabolism - glycerolipid

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 18q21.1

Cellular Component: Golgi apparatus; extracellular space; cell surface; early endosome

Molecular Function: heparin binding; lipoprotein lipase activity; phospholipase A1 activity; phospholipase activity

Biological Process: cell proliferation; cholesterol homeostasis; reverse cholesterol transport; phospholipid catabolic process; regulation of lipoprotein metabolic process; lipid metabolic process; positive regulation of cholesterol transport; response to nutrient; phospholipid homeostasis

Product Notes

The Mouse EL lipg (Catalog #AAA2513362) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2513362 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse EL. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EL, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
