Mouse E3 Ubiquitin-Protein Ligase Mdm2 (MDM2) ELISA Kit | MDM2 elisa kit
Mouse E3 Ubiquitin-Protein Ligase Mdm2 (MDM2) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: MDM2 encodes a nuclear-localized E3 ubiquitin ligase. The encoded protein can promote tumor formation by targeting tumor suppressor proteins, such as p53, for proteasomal degradation. MDM2 is itself transcriptionally-regulated by p53. Overexpression or amplification of this locus is detected in a variety of different cancers. There is a pseudogene for MDM2 on chromosome 2. Alternative splicing results in a multitude of transcript variants, many of which may be expressed only in tumor cells.

Uniprot Description
MDM2: a ubiquitin ligase for p53, plays a central role in regulation of the stability of p53 via Akt-mediated MDM2 phosphorylation. Phosphorylation of MDM2 increases its interaction with p300, providing a platform to allow the assembly of the protein complex necessary for MDM2-mediated ubiquitination and degradation of p53. Phosphorylation of MDM2 also blocks its binding to p19ARF, increasing the degradation of p53. Facilitates the nuclear export of p53 and targets it for proteasome-mediated proteolysis. Eight alternatively spliced isoforms have been reported.

Product Notes
The Mouse MDM2 mdm2 (Catalog #AAA9717689) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9717689 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse MDM2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "E3 Ubiquitin-Protein Ligase Mdm2 (MDM2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
