Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for DPYD elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Dihydropyrimidine Dehydrogenase (DPYD). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Dihydropyrimidine Dehydrogenase (DPYD). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Dihydropyrimidine Dehydrogenase (DPYD), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Dihydropyrimidine Dehydrogenase (DPYD) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a pyrimidine catabolic enzyme and the initial and rate-limiting factor in the pathway of uracil and thymidine catabolism. Mutations in this gene result in dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase deficiency, an error in pyrimidine metabolism associated with thymine-uraciluria and an increased risk of toxicity in cancer patients receiving 5-fluorouracil chemotherapy. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2009]

Uniprot Description

DPYD: Involved in pyrimidine base degradation. Catalyzes the reduction of uracil and thymine. Also involved the degradation of the chemotherapeutic drug 5-fluorouracil. Homodimer. Found in most tissues with greatest activity found in liver and peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Belongs to the dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase family.

Protein type: Other Amino Acids Metabolism - beta-alanine; Xenobiotic Metabolism - drug metabolism - other enzymes; Cofactor and Vitamin Metabolism - pantothenate and CoA biosynthesis; EC 1.3.1.2; Nucleotide Metabolism - pyrimidine; Oxidoreductase

Product Notes

The Mouse DPYD dpyd (Catalog #AAA2023888) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2023888 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse DPYD. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Dihydropyrimidine Dehydrogenase (DPYD), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
