Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Mouse Chemokine C-X-C-Motif Receptor 4 (also known as CXCR4) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse CXCR4 antibody. CXCR4 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse CXCR4 Antibody is added and binds to CXCR4 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CXCR4 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse CXCR4. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a CXC chemokine receptor specific for stromal cell-derived factor-1. The protein has 7 transmembrane regions and is located on the cell surface. It acts with the CD4 protein to support HIV entry into cells and is also highly expressed in breast cancer cells. Mutations in this gene have been associated with WHIM (warts, hypogammaglobulinemia, infections, and myelokathexis) syndrome.
