Background: Mouse C1R ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from rat specific for C1R has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards (Expression system for standard: NSO, Immunogen sequence: S18-D705) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for C1R is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the human Fibronectin amount of sample captured in plate. Complement C1r subcomponent is a protein involved in the complement system of the innate immune system. In humans, C1r is encoded by the C1R gene. It is mapped to 6; 6 F2 and 6 F2; 6. C1r has been shown to interact with C1s. C1r cleaves C1s to form the active form of C1s.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the peptidase S1 protein family. The encoded protein is a proteolytic subunit in the complement system C1 complex. The complement system acts as a mediator in the innate immune response by ultimately triggering phagocytosis, inflammation, and rupturing the bacterial cell wall. Mutations in this gene are associated with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2018]

Product Notes
The Mouse C1R (Catalog #AAA1751700) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1751700 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse C1R. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C1R, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
