Samples
Serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Detection Range
3.12-200ng/mL
Sensitivity
< 1.22ng/mL
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Anti-GnRH were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Anti-GnRH were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV(%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%
Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for GnRH elisa kit
Intended Uses: The kit is an enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of Anti-GnRH in mouse serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with GnRH. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated secondary antibody. After TMB substrate solution is added, those wells that contain Anti-GnRH will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of Anti-GnRH in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a secreted growth factor that belongs to the pleiotrophin/midkine heparin-binding protein family and functions in a variety of biological processes. The encoded cytokine promotes the growth, differentiation, survival and migration of several target cells including leucocytes involved in inflammation. This protein plays a role in the formation of scar tissue and intraperitoneal adhesions, and promotes neurite outgrowth and neuron survival. The protein encoded by this gene is associated with obesity and inhibition of insulin signaling in fat cells. A pseudogene of this gene is present on chromosome 11. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2014]

Uniprot Description

MDK: Developmentally regulated, secreted growth factor homologous to pleiotrophin (PTN), which has heparin binding activity. Binds anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) which induces ALK activation and subsequent phosphorylation of the insulin receptor substrate (IRS1), followed by the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and PI3-kinase, and the induction of cell proliferation. Involved in neointima formation after arterial injury, possibly by mediating leukocyte recruitment. Also involved in early fetal adrenal gland development. Belongs to the pleiotrophin family.

Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted

Cellular Component: cell projection; cytoplasm; extracellular region

Molecular Function: heparin binding; growth factor activity

Biological Process: cell migration; behavioral fear response; cerebellar granular layer development; adrenal gland development; short-term memory; multicellular organismal development; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; hippocampus development; positive regulation of cell division; response to wounding; negative regulation of neuron apoptosis; cell differentiation; defecation; regulation of behavior

Product Notes

The Mouse GnRH mdk (Catalog #AAA2122127) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2122127 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse GnRH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Anti-Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone Antibody (Anti-GnRH), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
