NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene acts as a homodimer, using ATP hydrolysis to catalyze the conversion of 5-oxo-L-proline to L-glutamate. Defects in this gene are a cause of 5-oxoprolinase deficiency (OPLAHD). [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2012]

Uniprot Description

OPLAH: Catalyzes the cleavage of 5-oxo-L-proline to form L- glutamate coupled to the hydrolysis of ATP to ADP and inorganic phosphate. Defects in OPLAH are the cause of 5-oxoprolinase deficiency (OPLAHD). A disorder characterized by calcium oxalate/carbonate urolithiasis, and excessive urinary 5- oxo-L-proline. Affected individuals have recurrent episodes of vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Belongs to the oxoprolinase family.

Product Notes

The Mouse OPLAH oplah (Catalog #AAA7227694) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7227694 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse OPLAH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "5-oxoprolinase (OPLAH), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
