Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Inhibin A (INHA) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Inhibin A (INHA) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate.
CV(%) = SD/meanX100
Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-Assay: CV<12%
Test Principle
The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific to Inhibin A (INHA). A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Inhibin A (INHA) and unlabeled Inhibin A (INHA) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Inhibin A (INHA). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Inhibin A (INHA) in the sample. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is reverse proportional to the Inhibin A (INHA) level in the sample or standard.
Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate multiple peptide products, including the alpha subunit of the inhibin A and B protein complexes. These complexes negatively regulate follicle stimulating hormone secretion from the pituitary gland. Inhibins have also been implicated in regulating numerous cellular processes including cell proliferation, apoptosis, immune response and hormone secretion. Mice in which this gene has been ablated exhibit sex cord-stromal tumors and symptoms that mimic the human cancer cachexia syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2016]

Uniprot Description

Inhibins and activins inhibit and activate, respectively, the secretion of follitropin by the pituitary gland. Inhibins/activins are involved in regulating a number of diverse functions such as hypothalamic and pituitary hormone secretion, gonadal hormone secretion, germ cell development and maturation, erythroid differentiation, insulin secretion, nerve cell survival, embryonic axial development or bone growth, depending on their subunit composition. Inhibins appear to oppose the functions of activins. Inhibin deficient mice are viable but are acutely sensitive to development of gonadal sex-cord stromal tumors.

Product Notes

The Mouse INHA inha (Catalog #AAA2707890) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2707890 CLIA Kit recognizes Mouse INHA. AAA Biotech's Inhibin A (INHA) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Chemiluminescence Immunoassay (CLIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the INHA inha for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Inhibin A (INHA), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
