Related Product Information for anti-TWF1 antibody
Description: This gene encodes twinfilin, an actin monomer-binding protein conserved from yeast to mammals. Studies of the mouse counterpart suggest that this protein may be an actin monomer-binding protein, and its localization to cortical G-actin-rich structures may be regulated by the small GTPase RAC1.
Function: Actin-binding protein involved in motile and morphological processes. Inhibits actin polymerization, likely by sequestering G-actin. By capping the barbed ends of filaments, it also regulates motility. Seems to play an important role in clathrin-mediated endocytosis and distribution of endocytic organelles (By similarity).
Subunit Structure: Interacts with G-actin; ADP-actin form and capping protein (CP). May also be able to interact with TWF2 and phosphoinositides, PI(4, 5)P2. When bound to PI(4, 5)P2, it is down-regulated (By similarity). Interacts with ACTG1 (PubMed:28493397).
Post-translational Modifications: Phosphorylated on serine and threonine residues.
Similarity: Belongs to the actin-binding proteins ADF family. Twinfilin subfamily.

Product Notes

The TWF1 twf1 (Catalog #AAA9602321) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TWF1 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TWF1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemisty (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). ELISA: 1:10000 WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:200-1:1000 ICC: 1:200-1:1000 FC/FACS: 1:200-1:400. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TWF1 twf1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TWF1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
