Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for frequent use. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for 12 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

member of a family of calcium permeable channels [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

Calcium-activated non selective (CAN) cation channel that mediates membrane depolarization. While it is activated by increase in intracellular Ca2+, it is impermeable to it. Mediates transport of monovalent cations (Na+ > K+ > Cs+ > Li+), leading to depolarize the membrane. It thereby plays a central role in cadiomyocytes, neurons from entorhinal cortex, dorsal root and vomeronasal neurons, endocrine pancreas cells, kidney epithelial cells, cochlea hair cells etc. Participates in T-cell activation by modulating Ca2+ oscillations after T lymphocyte activation, which is required for NFAT-dependent IL2 production. Involved in myogenic constriction of cerebral arteries. Controls insulin secretion in pancreatic beta-cells. May also be involved in pacemaking or could cause irregular electrical activity under conditions of Ca2+ overload. Affects T-helper 1 (Th1) and T-helper 2 (Th2) cell motility and cytokine production through differential regulation of calcium signaling and NFATC1 localization. Enhances cell proliferation through up-regulation of the beta-catenin signaling pathway. Essential for the migration but not the maturation of dendritic cells ().

Product Notes

The TRPM4 trpm4 (Catalog #AAA2125043) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FITC-Linked Monoclonal Antibody to Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily M, Member 4 (TRPM4) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily M, Member 4 (TRPM4) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 0.5-2ug/mL IHC: 5-20ug/mL ICC: 5-20ug/mL Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRPM4 trpm4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily M, Member 4 (TRPM4), Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
