This antibody can be stored at 2 degree C- 8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Related Product Information for anti-TGFBR3  antibody
Betaglycan also known as transforming growth factor beta receptor III (TGFBR3), is a cell-surface chondroitin sulfate/heparan sulfate proteoglycan. TGFBR3 is a transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta type III receptor. This receptor is a membrane proteoglycan that often functions as a co-receptor with other TGF-beta receptor superfamily members. Ectodomain shedding produces soluble TGFBR3, which may inhibit TGFB signaling. Decreased expression of this receptor has been observed in various cancers. TGFBR3 is the TGF-beta component most commonly downregulated among localized human prostate cancer studies. TGFBR3 knockdown led to focus formation and enhanced expression of CD133, a marker found on prostate cancer stem cells. TGFBR3 is an accessory receptor that binds to and modulates the activities of both transforming growth factor-beta (TGFbeta) and inhibin, two members of the TGFbeta superfamily of growth factors that regulate many aspects of reproductive biology. TGFBR3 is known to be expressed in adult testis and ovary, but little is known about this receptor during gonadogenesis.

NCBI Description

This locus encodes the transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta type III receptor. The encoded receptor is a membrane proteoglycan that often functions as a co-receptor with other TGF-beta receptor superfamily members. Ectodomain shedding produces soluble TGFBR3, which may inhibit TGFB signaling. Decreased expression of this receptor has been observed in various cancers. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010]

Uniprot Description

TGFBR3: Binds to TGF-beta. Could be involved in capturing and retaining TGF-beta for presentation to the signaling receptors. Interacts with TCTEX1D4. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p33-p32

Cellular Component: cell surface; external side of plasma membrane; extracellular space; integral to plasma membrane; receptor complex

Molecular Function: coreceptor activity; glycosaminoglycan binding; heparin binding; PDZ domain binding; protein binding; punt binding; SMAD binding; transforming growth factor beta binding; transforming growth factor beta receptor activity; transforming growth factor beta receptor binding

Product Notes

The TGFBR3  tgfbr3 (Catalog #AAA2544606) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti Mouse TGFBR3  Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TGFBR3  can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). ELISA: 0.1-0.2 mug/mL. This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 mug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Mouse TGFBR3. The detection limit for Mouse TGFBR3 is approximately 0.0049 ng/well. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TGFBR3  tgfbr3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TGFBR3 , Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
