Related Product Information for anti-tbx-2 antibody
T-box transcription factor TBX2 is a protein that in Humans is encoded by the TBX2 gene and with subcellulair loCation in the nucleus. This gene is a member of a phylogenetically conserved family of genes that share a common DNA-binding domain, the T-box. T-box genes encode transcription factors involved in the regulation of developmental processes. This gene product is the Human homolog of Mouse Tbx2, and shares strong sequence similarity with Drosophila omb protein. Expression studies indiCate that this gene may have a potential role in tumorigenesis as an immortalizing agent. Transcript heterogeneity due to alternative polyadenylation has been noted for this gene. In melanocytic cell types, expression of the T-box 2 gene is regulated by the Microphthalmia-associated transcription factor The oncogene TBX2 is a coopeRating factor in transformation of pocket protein deficient MEFs. TBX2 downregulates the p53/p21CIP1 pathway both in wild-type and pocket protein deficient MEFs. Tissue specificity: expressed primarily in adult in kidney, lung, and placenta. Weak expression in heart and ovary.

Product Notes

The tbx-2 (Catalog #AAA570233) is an Antibody produced from Mouse (Balb/c) and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti TBX-2 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TBX-2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). 4D6 is useful for immunoprecipitation and western blot. Optimal antibody dilution should be determined by titRation. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the tbx-2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TBX-2, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
