Related Product Information for anti-TBCB antibody
Tubulin folding cofactor B, also known as TBCB, belongs to the Microtubules family. Biosynthesis of functional microtubules involve the participation of several chaperones, termed Tubulin folding cofactors A (TBCA), B (TBCB), D (TBCD), E (TBCE) and C (TBCC), that act on folding intermediates downstream of the cytosolic chaperon, alternatively named TCP. TBCB is a 244 amino acid cytoplasmic protein containing one CAP-Gly domain and in widely expressed. TBCB is involved in the regulation of tubulin heterodimer dissociation and may function as a negative regulator of axonal growth.

Uniprot Description

Binds to alpha-tubulin folding intermediates after their interaction with cytosolic chaperonin in the pathway leading from newly synthesized tubulin to properly folded heterodimer (PubMed:9265649). Involved in regulation of tubulin heterodimer dissociation. May function as a negative regulator of axonal growth ().

Product Notes

The TBCB tbcb (Catalog #AAA200320) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TBCB antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TBCB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Recommended starting dilution is 1:1500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TBCB tbcb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TBCB, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
