Related Product Information for anti-TAC3 antibody
Tachykinins are active peptides which excite neurons, evoke behavioral responses, are potent vasodilators and secretagogues, and contract many smooth muscles. Tachykinin-3 is a secreted protein and its expression during pregnancy is confined to the outer syncytiotophoblast of the placenta. Plasma concentrations of Tachykinin-3 are grossly elevated in pregnancy-induced hypertension and pre-eclampsia.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the tachykinin family of secreted neuropeptides. The encoded protein is primarily expressed in the central and peripheral nervous system and functions as a neurotransmitter. This protein is the ligand for the neurokinin-3 receptor. This protein is also expressed in the outer syncytiotrophoblast of the placenta and may be associated with pregnancy-induced hypertension and pre-eclampsia. Mutations in this gene are associated with normosmic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

TAC3: Tachykinins are active peptides which excite neurons, evoke behavioral responses, are potent vasodilators and secretagogues, and contract (directly or indirectly) many smooth muscles. Belongs to the tachykinin family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q13.3

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region

Product Notes

The TAC3 tac3 (Catalog #AAA606546) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Tachykinin-3 (ZNEUROK1, Neurokinin B, TAC3, NKNB) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Tachykinin-3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TAC3 tac3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tachykinin-3, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
