Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded): 10ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Human Brain, Cortex (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded) stained with SNCA antibody at 10ug/ml followed by biotinylated mouse IgG secondary antibody alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.)
Testing Data
(The recombinant human synuclein family (a-, ß-and ?-) and a-synuclein domains (1-60, 1-95, 61-140 and 96-140) proteins were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with a-Synuclein (61-95 aa) antibody (1:1,000). Proteins were visualized using a goat mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Alpha-synuclein is a member of the synuclein family, which also includes beta- and gamma-synuclein. Synucleins are abundantly expressed in the brain and alpha- and beta-synuclein inhibit phospholipase D2 selectively. SNCA may serve to integrate presynaptic signaling and membrane trafficking. Defects in SNCA have been implicated in the pathogenesis of Parkinson disease. SNCA peptides are a major component of amyloid plaques in the brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease. Four alternatively spliced transcripts encoding two different isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]

Product Notes
The SNCA snca (Catalog #AAA6012466) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Synuclein, alpha, NT (Non-A beta Component Of AD Amyloid, Non-A4 Component Of Amyloid Precursor, NACP, SNCA, PARK1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Synuclein, alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded): 10ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SNCA snca for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Synuclein, alpha, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
