Uniprot Description

SRR: Catalyzes the synthesis of D-serine from L-serine. D- serine is a key coagonist with glutamate at NMDA receptors. Has dehydratase activity towards both L-serine and D-serine. Belongs to the serine/threonine dehydratase family.

Protein type: EC 4.3.1.17; Isomerase; EC 5.1.1.18; EC 4.3.1.18; Amino Acid Metabolism - glycine, serine and threonine

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17p13

Cellular Component: cell soma; apical part of cell; cytoplasm; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: protein homodimerization activity; glycine binding; L-serine ammonia-lyase activity; threonine racemase activity; magnesium ion binding; calcium ion binding; D-serine ammonia-lyase activity; serine racemase activity; ATP binding; PDZ domain binding; pyridoxal phosphate binding

Biological Process: response to drug; pyruvate biosynthetic process; L-serine metabolic process; response to morphine; response to lipopolysaccharide; brain development; serine family amino acid metabolic process; aging; protein homotetramerization

Product Notes

The SRR srr (Catalog #AAA833722) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's SRR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). FC: 1:100 IHC: 1:50 WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SRR srr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SRR, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
