Applicable Applications for anti-SHPK antibody
Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes
WB: 1:2000
Biological Significance
SHPK has weak homology to several carbohydrate kinases, a class of proteins involved in the phosphorylation of sugars as they enter a cell, inhibiting return across the cell membrane. Sequence variation betweenthis novel gene and known carbohydrate kinases suggests the possibility of a different substrate, cofactor or changesin kinetic properties distinguishing it from other carbohydrate kinases. The gene resides in a region commonly deleted in cystinosis patients, suggesting a role as a modifier for the cystinosis phenotype. The genomic region is also richin Alu repetitive sequences, frequently involved in chromosomal rearrangements.
Cross-Reactivity
Human
Immunogen
SHPK antibody was raised in mouse using a full length recombinant protein of human SHPK (NP_037408) produced in HEK293T cells, as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Product Notes

The SHPK shpk (Catalog #AAA834521) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's SHPK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SHPK shpk for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SHPK, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
